The internet is a very important resource for business owners, students, corporate individuals, and everyone else in society. Nigeria has several internet service providers including Airtel. Most Airtel subscribers believe that the network provides one of the most affordable data plans in the country.
One challenge with subscribing for data is that you could exhaust it before the end of the month or the validity period. When this happens, you have to subscribe all over for the same plan. Instead of doing this, you can just subscribe to any of the unlimited plans from Airtel.
Do you have an Airtel SIM or do you want to switch to Airtel? Are you looking for an unlimited data plan for your business or personal use? This post will provide you access to helpful information so continue reading.
Airtel Unlimited Data Plans & Prices
Unlimited plans make life easy for individuals that consume a lot of data. Because of this, Airtel created a range of unlimited data plans for its subscribers all over the country. The idea behind this new value offering is to help its broadband customers never run out of data. More than this, it is designed to provide uncapped, continuous data at superior speeds.
Before we go on to the different data plans, you should note that there is a little limitation as announced by Airtel. The unlimited plans are only available to outdoor units and routers. While this may seem like a limitation, the different plans provide more freedom with the use of data.
With this out of the way, let’s look at the different unlimited data plans from Airtel. They include:
- Unlimited 10: N10,000 with a validity period of 30 days
- Unlimited 15: N15,000 with a validity period of 30 days
- Unlimited 20: N20,000 with a validity period of 30 days
Note that terms and conditions apply to these different plans. Also, Airtel reserves the right to adjust the prices depending on changes in company policies and instructions from the NCC. We will shed some light on the different unlimited plans in the next section.
Airtel Unlimited Data Plans & Codes
As you have seen above, there are three different unlimited data plans from Airtel. We will discuss these plans in more detail in this section.
Unlimited 10 (N10,000)
This plan is the least expensive of all the unlimited data plans from Airtel. While most regular people may still consider this plan unaffordable, it is perfect for small businesses. To activate this plan, dial *462*10# or *471#. There is a Fair Usage Policy on this plan. This means that you enjoy up to 40GB of data within the validity period. After using this amount of data, the browsing speed drops to 256kbps. This leaves the question, “is the plan unlimited?”
Unlimited 15 (N15,000)
The second unlimited plan from Airtel is the Unlimited 15 plan. This plan is a medium-range offer and suits small and medium businesses in Nigeria. It comes at N15,000 and is valid for 30 days. To activate this plan, dial *462*15# or *463#. Just like the Unlimited 10 plan, this plan also comes with a Fair Usage Policy. Under this plan, you can use up to 65GB of data after which the data drops to 256kbps for the rest of the validity period.
Unlimited 20 (N20,000)
This plan is the most expensive of the lot and it costs N20,000. To activate this plan, you should dial *462*20# or *351#. Just like the other plans, it comes with a Fair Usage Policy. This policy prescribes that once you consume 100GB of data, the data speed drops to 256kbps for the remainder of the validity period.
All the plans are great because they provide a lot of data at very affordable prices. Now that you know these plans and their different codes, let’s check out other cheap data plans from Airtel.
Other Airtel Data Plans
In this section, we will look at some of the other data plans from Airtel Nigeria.
Airtel Data N100 Plan
This data plan offers subscribers 75MB of data. The validity period of this data plan is 24 hours. To subscribe to this play, you should dial *141*100#. This plan comes in handy if you need to do a quick online task and you are short on cash.
Airtel Data N200 Plan
This plan gives the subscriber access to 200MB of data and the validity period is just 3 days. To activate this data plan, dial *141*200# from your phone dialer and follow the instructions. This plan is designed to help subscribers with basic browsing, especially on small phones. If you own an iPhone or a more recent Android device, we advise that you don’t subscribe to this plan. The reason is that these devices consume a lot of data. In the end, you may not achieve your aim for the subscription before exhausting the data.
Airtel Data N300 Plan
This plan presents you with 350MB of data and costs N300. It has a validity period of 7 days and you can subscribe by dialling *141*300# from your phone dialer. While the validity period is longer than the two plans above, you are likely to exhaust the data before it is over. Again, this plan works best for basic browsing purposes.
Airtel Data N500 Plan
This is where you get a substantial amount of data at a very affordable price. For N500, Airtel gives you 750MB that is valid for 14 days. To subscribe to this plan, dial *141*500# on your device. It is perfect for average data consumers that don’t make use of data-intensive applications like Facebook, Snapchat, TikTok, and Instagram.
Airtel Data N1000 Plan
This plan offers double of what you get from the N500 plan. With N1000, you get access to 1.5GB of data that is valid for a month. Subscribe to this plan by dialling *141*1000#. It is perfect for data consumers that use smartphones but don’t browse too often. You can download small files and visit social media not too often.
