Ferreira was born on August 14, 1994, under the star sign of Leo in Aspen, Colorado, in the United States. He was born at the base of Aspen Highlands, where his parents, Colleen Delia and Marcelo Ferreira, still live.

In fact, Alex’s father, Marcelo Ferreira, used to play soccer professionally in Argentina. Colleen, his mother, went to West Virginia University and used to race relays at the state level in New Jersey.

Colleen has run ten full marathons and has been an athlete in the Penn Relays. She is the owner of The Red Spa in Aspen, Colorado, at the moment.
