Childhood,FamilyAnd Education.

Cody Martin was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, on September 28, 1995. He grew up in Cooleemee, North Carolina, a small town with about 960 people.

Martin spent his childhood in a small 300-square-foot trailer.

Family

Jenny Bennett is the name of Martin’s mother. We don’t know much about his father. But since his father was never there, Benett was the mother, father, and provider for her kids.

Martin has a twin brother named Caleb Martin who is the same as him, and an older brother named Raheem. Caleb plays for the Sioux Falls Skyforce in the NBA.

Cody has a hard childhood because he has to live with his mother and two siblings in a small trailer. Siblings had to share a bed so they could take turns sleeping on the floor. After two nights on the floor, you could sleep on the mattress.

Cody has two different races because his mother is white and his father is black. His father was never around, so his mother was the only one who brought in money. At one point, they didn’t have enough to eat.

Even though she couldn’t give her kids the things every parent would love to give, she taught them a lot of other things that were much more important.

Benett loved and cared for them forever. Cody’s mom is someone he looks up to. His mother taught him work ethics, how to be humble, and how important it is to work hard in life.

Because they had hard times as kids, the Martin twins are very close. Cody is 1 minute older than his twin brother. He doesn’t say much but has strong opinions. Caleb, on the other hand, is more outgoing and active.

Education

Caleb went to high school in Mocksville, North Carolina, and Martin went to high school in David County. After watching the Martins twins play in high school, Oak Hill coaches found out about him.

After high school, the Martin twins chose to go to North Carolina State University. During their careers, the Martin twins went from playing Slamball, a mix of football and basketball that they made, to getting full college scholarships at a top school.

Caleb was an expert sharpshooter who loved shooting threes, and Cody was a good-natured jack-of-all-trades. Both of them made up their own basketball styles. Cody can play well at every position except center, which he doesn’t have.
