Aaron Rodgers is a record-breaking American football player who currently plays for the Green Bay Packers in the National Football League (NFL) having previously excelled as a college athlete for the California Golden Bears.

Rodgers was born Aaron Charles Rodgers to Darla Leigh (née Pittman) and Edward Wesley Rodgers on December 2, 1983, in Chico, California. He is of English, Irish, and German ancestry. While growing up, Rodgers showed great signs of becoming an athlete as he excelled in basketball, baseball, and American football. He and his brothers; Luke and Jordan, were coached by their father who played college football but failed to become a professional.
Aaron Rodgers attended Oak Manor Elementary School before transferring to Vose Elementary School after his family moved to Beaverton, Oregon. He played in the Raleigh Hills Little League as he attended Whitford Middle School. In 1997, his family returned to California where he finished his high school education at Pleasant Valley High School.
