Professional life
Peterson started his career in Australia at Manly. Peterson was chosen for the Waratahs team prior to the 2012 Super Rugby season. For the North Harbour Rays’ opening match of the 2014 National Rugby Championship in Australia, Peterson was tapped as the team’s captain. Peterson signed a deal with Leicester Tigers that would keep him with the team through the end of the 2014–15 season after being offered a tryout by them following his season with the Rays, although he only made a few games for Leicester.
In the Pro12, Peterson signed a two-year contract with Glasgow Warriors that will begin in the 2015–16 season.
