Jonathan William Coachman is an American sports interviewer, analyst and professional wrestling personality. Coachman is also known as “The Coach”. He was born on August 12 1972, in McPherson, Kansas. The Coach is the pre-show host for pay-per-views at WWE.
Coachman was the interim General Manager of Raw. He used to be a college basketball player and football play-by-play announcer. He played for two basketball championships at McPherson High School in McPherson, Kansas. Coachman then moved to play for McPherson College. He also participated in theatre, served as the sports editor for the school newspaper, and did play-by-play and colour commentary for the local football and basketball radio broadcasts while at McPherson College.
Coachman was once a sports reporter and anchor at KAKE in Wichita, Kansas. He often attended the Youngstown State Penguins basketball games while living in Newton Falls, Ohio.
