In the last ten years, the apocalyptic scenario has been more prevalent than ever. The pandemic has also given us shivers in another way. From The Walking Dead in America to Attack On Titan in Japan, the post-apocalyptic genre has its own interpretations. In 2020, a different anime, Plunderer, derived from the manga of the same name, debuted in the genre, with its own specific style to showcase. The story of Plunderer was published as a manga in Monthly Shonen Ace magazine, and it was illustrated and written by Suu Minazuki. In 2020, Geek Toys produced an animated version of the story.
Plunderer is set in a post-apocalyptic world where a person’s worth is determined by a numerical value. A number that is passed down through the generations. Individuals are dragged down into hell, where they will die for the rest of eternity, if the number lowers by zero.
Hina is the primary character in the novel, and her name is determined by the number of kilometers she has traveled. Hina is on a mission to find the Legendary Ace of her mother’s farewell desire, which she received five years ago before being transported to the depths of hell. The first season of the anime was fantastic. Because the first season didn’t cover the manga until now, fans are clamoring for a second. This is everything you need to know about Plunderer Season 2.
Release Date for Season 2 of Plunderer
Let’s be clear: Greek Toys has not yet renewed the Plunderer for a second season. Despite its controversial nature, the first series had a considerable following base. The fans would almost certainly press the producers to release a second season so that it could be seen.
In January of 2020, the anime’s first season was launched. The first half of the series was completed on June 25, 2020, with a total of 24 episodes. The first season received critical acclaim for its unique take on a dystopian future. The series was a wonderful emotional rollercoaster, with some action and comedic elements thrown in for good measure.
We don’t know when it will be released, but we estimate it to be sometime in mid-2021.
Season 2 of Plunderer – Plot Revealed
The fate of Plunderer’s second season is still up in the air. There has been no news on when, if ever, it will air. However, we expect the sequel to pick up where the original one left off, just like it did with the ending. Because the manga is ahead of schedule and season one only covers half of it, it seems unlikely that there will be another season.
The first season of Plunderer ended with Licht blaming himself for his classmates’ deaths and making several surprising revelations about his buddies. Finally, Licht and Hina worked together to recover all seven ballots. They are determined to not use them against Alicia, but rather for the greater welfare of humanity.
Season 2 of Plunderer, meanwhile, is expected to dive deeper into the series’ central themes, according to rumours and rumors. Social issues, casting, and unwarranted prejudices are among them. Characters with differing perspectives on these problems may appear in the second season, just as they would in a regular human community.
Plunderer Season 2 The Voice Cast
The voice casts of the series’ key characters are expected to return in the second season, which will continue the story if it is renewed. Yoshiki Nakajima is the voice of Licht Bach, Rina Honnizumi is the voice of Hina, and Ari Ozawa is the voice of Lynn May.
Jail Murdoch was performed by Yichiroc Umehara, and Pele Poporo was voiced by Aoi Ichikawa. Nana Bassler was voiced by Shizuka It, Mizuka Sonohara was voiced by Aoi Yuki, and Alexandrov Grigorovich was played by Hiroki Tch.
Finally, Toshihiko Seki, Kotono Mitsuishi, and Satoshi Hino voice Schmerman Bach, Frienda, and Taketaro Doan, respectively.
We’ll let you know as soon as the release date and plot details are announced by the studios. With only three anime under its belt, the Greek Toys company is one of today’s up-and-coming studios. They may be taking precautions with Plunderer because it is the most successful among them.
Plunderer Season 2 has been a long time coming. Plunderer has been off the air for almost a year, and we’re all counting down the days till it returns. The ecchi fantasy anime has proven to be highly popular, with viewers taking note almost immediately after its debut.
