Kevin Dubrow, Terry’s older brother, was the lead singer of the popular metal band Quiet Riot when Terry was growing up. At the age of 52, his brother died of an overdose in 2007. On November 25, 2007, he was discovered dead in his Las Vegas home.

He graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Medicine with a medical degree. In addition, he holds a master’s degree from Yale University. He also completed a general surgery residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and a three-year plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship at UCLA Medical Center.
